The Obi-Datti Grassroots Mobilization of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, has expressed optimism that the party’s candidate, Peter Obi, would win the Saturday poll as early as 12pm.
The head of the mobilization team, Wale Okunniyi, stated this when he appeared on Channels Television on Thursday.
Okunniyi said he and other members of the team had invested much working in the mobilization of voters for the former Anambra governor to expect clear victory come Saturday.
He said, “My optimism tells me that Peter Obi will win by first ballots. The level of hard work some of us have put into this thing gave us that optimism.
“You will be shocked that by 12 noon on Saturday we have won already. It may not be official but you will know through trend.”
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will be battling for the nation’s top job on Saturday, February 25.
