The National Christian Leaders Forum of Nigeria, NACLFON, on Monday paid a solidarity visit to Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, AMBO, declaring its readiness to mobilize Christian voters across Osun State in support of the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election.
The delegation, led by the Osun State Chairman of NACLFON, Ven. Victor Ashaolu, assured AMBO of the forum’s commitment to strengthening political participation among Christians and consolidating grassroots structures in all local government areas of the state.
Speaking during the visit, Ven. Ashaolu emphasized the importance of active engagement in the political process, noting that faith-based organizations have a responsibility to promote responsible leadership and civic participation. He described the 2026 Osun governorship election as a critical moment for alignment between values-driven leadership and inclusive development.
The Christian leaders also pledged massive support for the second term bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, citing ongoing federal reforms and policy direction as reasons for sustained backing.
AMBO, while appreciating the visit, described it as a demonstration of unity and shared purpose. He reiterated his commitment to inclusive governance, religious harmony, and people-centered development, assuring the delegation that his political aspirations remain focused on service, equity, and progress for all residents of Osun State.
Political observers say the visit signals early coalition building ahead of the 2026 governorship contest, as consultations and grassroots mobilization continue to intensify across the state.
