The Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Tonga Betara as the new Head of Service.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Press Secretary to the Secretary to the State Government, Shuaibu Abdullahi.
According to the statement, Betara’s appointment follows the retirement of the former Head of Service, Hamidu Alhaji, upon reaching the mandatory retirement age of 60.
“Until his appointment, Alhaji Tonga Betara was the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment.
