Whereabouts of 14 Passengers Abducted In Delta States Remain Unknown

Dare devil bandits were said to hsve ambushed a bus belonging to Okeyson Motors Transport traveling from Enugu State to Lagos State and abducted 14 passengers at Isele-Uku Junction in Delta State .

The incident happened on Friday, 5th January, 2024, after the passengers boarded the bus after the New Year celebration while going back to Lagos with the driver identified as Chidi Obi. Their captors are said to be asking for undisclosed amount as ransom.

According to the driver Mr Obi who was released with wounds after paying undisclosed ransom spoke of how, the journey was smooth until they got to Isele-Uku junction when the kidnappers set nails on the road which damaged the tyres of the bus forcing the vehicle to a stop.

“While I was changing the tyre, the kidnappers came out from the nearby bush, shot sporadically and forcefully took both myself and the passengers into bush for ransom.”

“The abductors collected ouf phones and started making contacts with the families of the victims demanding for ransom or they will kill us and sell our parts.”

He said the fate of the passengers abducted from the bus had remained unknown and nothing had been heard since then.

The Okeyson Motors branch at Cele Bus Stop in Lagos, has refused to discuss about the incident.

However, sources the company tracked the bus inside the bush at Isele – Uku and recovered it shattered with bullets.
