Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have marked the fifth birthday of their daughter, Princess Lilibet, by sharing new family photographs and a heartfelt message on social media.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex posted two images to celebrate the occasion. One photograph shows the couple embracing while Prince Harry holds Lilibet, while another captures the young princess in a garden, admiring a flower.
Sharing the images, Meghan described her daughter as their “dream girl,” writing: “Our dream girl. Happy 5th birthday, Lili.”
Princess Lilibet, who was born in California on June 4, 2021, is the second child of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. She is younger sister to Prince Archie, who recently turned seven.
The birthday tribute comes amid a busy year for the Sussexes. Last month, Meghan celebrated the couple’s eighth wedding anniversary by sharing a collection of personal photographs documenting their journey together.
The couple also recently announced plans to produce a Netflix film based on the true story of British troops trapped during the Afghanistan conflict. The project will be developed through their production company, Archewell Productions.
Although no longer serving as working members of the British Royal Family, Harry and Meghan continue to maintain a high public profile through charitable initiatives, media projects and international engagements.
The latest birthday photos offered another rare glimpse into the family’s private life, with the couple continuing their tradition of sharing limited images of their children on special occasions.
