Tinubu Lands In Akure For An Undisclosed Mission

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has landed in Akure, the Ondo State capital on what officials says is an official visit to the state.

 

The Nigerian Airforce jet conveying the president and his entourage touched down at the Akure airport at exactly 11:35 am.

He was received by Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and his Ekiti State counterpart Biodun Oyebanji as well as top government functionaries and prominent politicians.

A presidential parade was put in place at the terminal of the airport to welcome President Tinubu to the Sunshine State.

Though Tinubu presence in Akure is described as an official visit but political analysts sees it as finding a worthy successor to the late Aketi.

Analysts sees Tinubu not to be let down if he has already picked his anointed.

The president is expected to visit the palace of Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, and the families of the former governor of the state, late Oluwarootimi Akereodolu also in Owo.

Mr. Tinubu is also expected to pay a courtesy visit to the National Leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere Pa Reuben Fasoranti, at his residence in Akure.
