More details have emerged about a Nigerian woman who attacked her husband’s new wife during their wedding ceremony in a northern state of Nigeria.
A video that captured the moment the woman attacked the new bride, who’s said to be her best friend, recently made the rounds, and many who opined that she overreacted questioned the reason for her action.
In the trending clip, the new bride had gone to meet the older wife to greet her, as is the custom. However, the older wife, who was expected to welcome the bride into the family, lost her cool and viciously attacked her instead.
According to online reports, the first wife is largely responsible for her husband’s success.
She is said to have helped him with her inheritance from her father, and this made the husband’s business boom.
When they became very rich and comfortable, the husband decided to take her bestfriend as his second wife.
As a result, the first wife couldn’t hold back on the wedding day when the new wife came to pay her respects according to the custom.
