Rashidi Ladoja Finally Accepts Beaded Crown From Olubadan.

The former governor of Oyo State, Rashidi Ladoja, has finally accepted to wear a beaded crown on Ibadan Ogo State following his seven years  objection  to be part of the arrangement.

During a ceremony at the residence of Owolabi Olakulehin, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Ladoja was bestowed with the crown on Monday by Bayo Lawal, the acting governor of the state.

Ladoja, holding the position of Otun Olubadan, is among the 11 prominent chiefs in the line of succession to Olakunlehin.

Approximately seven years after declining the beaded crown, that confers upon him the title “his royal majesty,”

Following the coronation event, he expressed his acceptance of the role of king within the Olubadan lineage without any reservations.

He underscored that Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, retains the sole status of paramount king in the historic city, with all other Obas being regarded as subjects and counselors.
