Mr. Peter Obi, Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, will this Saturday, 5th February 2023, from 10.00 am, meet with the South West Development Stakeholders Forum (SWDSF) and the people of the South West at the Jogor Centre in Ibadan.
He will be following in the footsteps of the Presidential Candidates of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Mr. Omoyele Sowore of Africa Action Congress (AAC), and Alhaji Kola Abiola of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), who have in the last two weeks dialogued with representatives of civil society organisations, religious bodies, Diaspora organisations, Town Development Unions, Chambers of Commerce, Hunters and Farmers groups, Market Women and Men, under the aegis of the South West Development Stakeholders Forum (SWDSF).
The SWDSF, a non-partisan advocacy platform for integrated South West Development is asking leading Presidential Candidates, “How would you lift ‘federal’ obstacles to South West integrated Security, Railways and Waterways, Power infrastructure, and environmentally sustainable exploitation of our Mineral Resources if you get to power?”
This question is of priority interest to over 50 million people and residents of the South West and emanates from Blueprints produced by the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN), a non-partisan Commission jointly owned by Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun states.
