The committee was inaugurated on Tuesday in response to the resignation of members of the State Executive Committee.

The former leadership resigned collectively last Friday, February 27, after Governor Ahmadu Fintiri triggered a wave of defections that has severely weakened the party’s membership base.

The caretaker committee was constituted by the party’s National Working Committee to ensure stability within the party structure in the state.
