Some voters in Niger State said politicians asked them to show their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and swear that they would vote for them before they were given plastic buckets, spaghetti, clothes and Maggi seasoning.

Newspot learnt politicians went into voters’ homes on Friday evening and early Saturday morning to canvas for votes and distribute spaghetti, clothes and other materials to the electorate, especially in Minna, the Niger State capital.

Voters told Newspot they were first asked to show their PVCs, after which they were made to swear; thereafter, they were each given two yards of cloth, spaghetti and plastic bucket for bathing.
