The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has once again advised candidates to avoid accepting any admission offered outside the Central Admissions Processing System. The Board said CAPS remains the only platform authorized for legitimate admission processing.
The warning follows increasing reports from candidates who accepted unauthorized admissions and are now unable to print their JAMB Admission Letters. As a result, many cannot proceed to the Nigerian Law School, complete medical licensing requirements or participate in NYSC because the admissions are illegal.
JAMB stated that it has discontinued regularization of such admissions and reminded institutions that issuing offers outside CAPS is a serious violation. Regulated programmes like Law and Medicine are especially affected.
The Board confirmed that several aggrieved candidates have taken institutions to court and JAMB is supporting them in their pursuit of justice. Institutions experiencing pressure on carrying capacity are urged to engage directly with the Board rather than bypass established procedures.
