JAMB Organizes Interactive Workshop For Heads Of Unit In Abia State Office

In its bid to further facilitate efficient service delivery, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has held a one-day capacity building workshop for the Unit Heads of the Abia State Office.According to the State Coordinator, Mr. Johnson Adebiyi, the interactive workshop was organised to highlight innovative and creative ways of carrying out the activities of the Board especially in the face of the current economic realities in the country.While declaring the workshop open, Mr. Adebiyi disclosed that the exceptional feats achieved by the Board in recent times could be traced directly to its deployment of relevant technology in almost every aspect of its operations.He noted that the prevailing economic realities in the country require prudence in the management of the available resources so as to continuously improve the Board’s efficiency.He disclosed that in line with this philosophy, the State Office recently  procured alternative sources of power supply to facilitate its daily activities and sustain the tempo of service delivery of the Board.Furthermore, he informed the participants that the newly-acquired alternative sources of power supply such as power banks,  UPS and laptop batteries are to enable them carry out their daily activities effectively even in the event of power failure.According to him, the training was meant to reduce operational costs and facilitate better engagement among the different Units in the office as well as acquaint the Unit Heads with the amazing opportunities offered by the new operational climate for enhanced  productivity.
