It was a display of emotions and frustrations in Ibadan today,2nd August 2023 as workers and residents trooped out enmasse to protest against the perceived anti masses policies of government.
The protest was in compliance with the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) that Nigerian workers should embark on strike beginning from today

In an emotional ladden voices through singing, the protesters were asking , if this is Democracy? ” is this Democracy?, is this what we voted for? Is this the change they promised us?”

Moving round the Ibadan metropolis, the placards carrying protesters were seen in groups of Unions, throwing hard words on government, in what they described as the highest level of insensitivity to the plight of the masses.

There was a heavy human and vehicular traffic at the Mokola area of the city with security agents on standby to ensure that hoodlums did not hijack the protest.

As at the time of filing this report, the protest is still ongoing.
