The Rivers State Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara has supported the activities of Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion with N500m.
He made the donation when he declared open the Standing Committee Meeting of the Church holding at St Cyprian’s Anglican Church in Port Harcourt.
Governor Fubara said after listening to the Presidential Address of the Primate of Nigeria The Most Revd Henry Ndukuba he was challenged to support the Church financially for it to meet part of the Church visionary activities.
The areas of support he specifically mentioned were the youth and evangelization programmes.
Governor Fubara said he was also impressed by the fervent prayers the Church had been offering him and his government to overcome physical and spiritual attacks.
He said he would always be there to keep supporting the Church in all its activities to keep the Church going.
