In preparation for the Eid el-Fitri Sallah celebrations on Wednesday , Commissioner of Police Auwal Musa Mohammed has issued orders for robust security arrangements across Bauchi State to ensure adequate security before, during, and after the festivities.
A statement issued on Tuesday by SP Ahmed Wakili,
the spokesperson of the command, said various security strategies have been implemented, including discreet intelligence gathering by plainclothes officers reporting to the central control room.
Wakili stated that the Commissioner of Police has directed all area commanders, tactical commanders, and divisional police officers to sustain visibility patrols across all black spots and flash points within their area of responsibilities.
“It is, therefore, imperative to warn those who plan to disrupt the procession that it is too late to do so. They can either join the procession, surrender to the police for rehabilitation, or face necessary action for their wrongdoing,” the command warned.
