Brazilian midfielder, Casemiro has revealed his football idols while growing up as a kid.
The midfielder, who grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil, revealed that two Manchester United legends, Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand were his idols.
The 30-year-old defensive midfielder also expressed his love for former Real Madrid stars, Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo Fenomeno and legendary Ronaldinho.
Speaking to Manchester United’s official media, Casemiro was asked about his football idols and the Man United midfielder said, “Honestly, I used to love watching Zidane.
”I loved watching Scholes too, and talking of United, Scholes, Rio Ferdinand, what an incredible player! These are all players who were winners.
“Ronaldo Fenomeno, Ronaldinho Gaucho… And talking of players in my position, Gilberto Silva, Mauro Silva, Makelele…”
