The Bauchi State Civil Service Commission has dismissed two senior staff of the state-owned Bauchi Radio Corporation for alleged misconduct.

The duo of Hauwa Adamu Kardam, and Halima Umar, both Chief Production Assistants at the radio corporation, were reportedly dismissed for serious misconduct that contravened the Bauchi State Public Service Regulations 0327.

The termination of their appointments was announced at the 13th plenary session of the civil service commission where their cases were presented by the Central Recruitment Agency of the Commission on Thursday, April 18, 2024.

During the plenary session, the commission also lifted the suspension imposed on three officers of the radio station with immediate effect.

The Bauchi Civil Service Commission also approved the issue of warning to three other officers from the Programmes and Production departments of the radio house including the head of the corporation for dereliction of duty.

Similarly, the commission approved the lifting of suspension on a staff of the state healthcare development agency and issued a letter of advice to the officer for contravention of the public service regulations.

Newspot recalls that the dismissal of Kardam and Umar is not the first of its kind as the civil service commission had previously sacked three civil servants for financial fraud in August 2023.
