The Adamawa State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has officially changed its leadership.
This was after a leadership uncertainty that has lingered since last November when new leadership was expected to have been in place.
The new officials were sworn in on Monday, a couple of weeks after the national leadership intervened in the matter.
The state chairman before now, Bishop Steven Mamza, officially handed the mantle of leadership to the new acting executives under the chairmanship of Rev Gambo Bupwatda as the acting chairman.
The new acting executive committee has Bishop Japhet Tonmwaso as vice chairman, Rev Obionyo Emeka Benjamin as secretary, and Rev Henrimas Othniel and Rev. Father Maurice Kwairanga, respectively, as assistant secretary and acting treasurer.
Dami Mamza, who handed the documents to the new acting chairman at the CAN state secretariat in Yola, assured of his continuing support for the growth of the body of Christ in Adamawa and Nigeria.
The new acting chairman, thanking Mamza for his visionary leadership during his two terms in office, said he would do his best to ensure the unity and progress of the CAN in Adamawa State.
