Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, is set to inaugurate a 52-member Imole Campaign Council 2026 on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in a significant political move ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election in Osun State.
The council, known as the Imole Campaign Council 2026 (TICC), is designed as the apex strategic organ and coordinating think tank of Governor Adeleke’s re-election campaign. It is expected to provide overall vision, direction, and integrated coordination for all campaign structures, programmes, and stakeholders working toward securing victory for the governor’s second-term bid.
According to the campaign framework, the council will serve as the highest decision-making organ of the re-election effort, with responsibility for designing, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing campaign programmes, activities, and messaging strategies across the state. It is also expected to coordinate and supervise campaign operations at the state, federal constituency, local government, ward, diaspora, and polling unit levels.
The 52-member body is chaired by Prof. Wale Ladipo, while Senator Dr. Kamorudeen Lere Oyewumi will serve as Director General. The Osun State Commissioner for Information, Barrister Kolapo Alimi, has been named Deputy Director General, while Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi will serve as Spokesperson for the Campaign Council. Hon. Prince Bola Ajao is to serve as Secretary of the council.
Other prominent members of the council include Hon. Sunday Bisi, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, and Pastor Victor Akande, Chairman of the Accord Party, both of whom will serve as advisers. Also listed are notable political figures including Prince Diran Odeyemi, Alhaji Kamorudeen Ajisafe, Alhaji Dokun Babarinde, Dr. Olu Alabi, Chief Mrs. Atinuke Oyawoye, Alhaji Kareem Afolabi, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, Rt. Further details of the campaign structure show that Hon. Bamidele Salam will chair the Media and Publicity Committee, while Alhaji Moshood Adeoti will head Inter-Party Relations. In the same vein, Engr. Segun Adebiyi (Abija) has been appointed Chairman of the Research, Planning and Strategy Committee, while Hon. Funso Babarinde will lead the Civil Society Matters Committee. Also listed in that committee is Hon. Abiodun Adegoke, who will serve as Vice Chairman, a role that places him within one of the campaign’s strategic stakeholder-engagement structures.
The standing committees cover a wide range of campaign areas, including market women and artisan mobilization, religious engagement, labour and pensioners relations, finance, electoral matters, reconciliation, youth mobilization, women mobilization, contact and mobilization, legal and compliance, diaspora mobilization, welfare, students affairs, logistics, venue management, creative arts and entertainment, monitoring and evaluation, and rapid response and crisis mitigation.
Beyond the central council, the campaign structure also provides for the establishment of the Imole Federal Constituency Campaign Committee (TIFCCC) in each of the nine federal constituencies in Osun State. Each of these is expected to have its own chairman and coordinator, with membership drawn from working committee members, party officers, House of Assembly members, commissioners, special advisers, council chairmen, and party chairmen from the respective constituencies.
Similarly, the Imole Local Government Campaign Committee (TILGCC) will operate across all 30 local government areas and the area office in the state. At that level, membership will include state assembly members, local government council chairmen, party chairmen, senior special assistants, special assistants, councillors, and LGEA chairmen and members.
At the grassroots, the Imole Ward Campaign Committee (TIWCC) will be established in all 332 wards across Osun State. Each ward structure will comprise the ward party chairman as chairman, the councillor as coordinator, all public office holders in the ward, and members of the ward executive committee.
The terms of reference of the council emphasize discipline, organization, message coherence, broad-based mobilization, and strategic engagement with party structures, grassroots networks, women, youth, community leaders, and other key stakeholders. The body is also expected to promote the achievements and vision of the Adeleke administration while monitoring the electoral environment in collaboration with democratic institutions and relevant actors.
Political observers say the inauguration of the council signals an early and methodical buildup to the 2026 governorship race, with the Adeleke camp clearly prioritising structure, stakeholder coordination, and grassroots reach as the election season gathers momentum.
