The Senior Special Assistant to the Sokoto State Governor on Strategic Communication, Nurudeen Mohammed Mahe, has reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to youth development and inclusive governance.
Mahe made this known while attending the YALI Alumni Connect 1.0, organized by the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Network Sokoto under the chairmanship of Comrade Maccido Bello.
Speaking during the event, he urged members of the network to remain committed to the foundational principles that define YALI, including leadership development, global political awareness, climate change advocacy, information technology, artificial intelligence, gender equality, and the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
He emphasized that the YALI Network continues to serve as a credible platform that brings together intellectually driven young Africans, fostering collaboration, innovation, and purposeful engagement through networking.

He commended past leaders of the network for their dedication and commitment to sustaining its legacy, noting that their contributions have helped maintain the organization’s credibility and impact.
Reaffirming the government’s openness to collaboration, Mahe stated that Sokoto State remains willing to partner with organizations like YALI in driving development initiatives across the state.
He further highlighted that the administration of Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, whom he described as young and dynamic, is deeply committed to youth inclusion in governance. According to him, this is reflected in the appointment of young people and women into strategic positions within the state.
The event drew participation from members of the YALI Network and stakeholders committed to youth empowerment and leadership development in Sokoto State.
