The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, has congratulated Nigerians at home and in the diaspora on the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
Oyebamiji, who is also a leading gubernatorial aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2026 governorship elections, emphasized that Nigeria’s resilience as a people remains the cornerstone of its unity and progress.
He described the ongoing socioeconomic reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda as a necessary pathway to a more prosperous nation.
“On this occasion of our Independence Anniversary, I salute Nigeria and Nigerians for our collective resilience and firm belief in our unity,” Oyebamiji said.
Acknowledging the difficulties brought about by reforms, Oyebamiji assured that Nigeria stands on the verge of greater achievements. He highlighted ongoing infrastructural transformation across the country as proof of President Tinubu’s commitment to building a stronger, modern nation.
According to him, “There is no doubting the fact that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to a new Nigeria as manifested in the massive infrastructural transformation ongoing in the country.”
Oyebamiji called on Nigerians to sustain their optimism, unity, and faith in the country, stressing that despite challenges, the nation is on course for economic growth, stability, and global relevance.
