The biggest challenge of Nigeria is assumed to be corruption, but unfortunately its contribution to national malaise is not overriding. A sturdy confrontation of Nigeria is the conspiracy that swirls in its nooks and crannies, incrementally running down the state system.
The constitution of Nigeria is a document made for Nigerians and NOT by them; it’s a chronicle of conspiracy, which in itself is corruption of the highest level. And since nature abhors deception, whatsoever a man sows, of its nature shall come the harvest. The conspiracy of the state is an open wound requiring truth as a healing balm, though we all live in pretense of it while its reality rules and is ruining the nation, and, with it, the lives of the citizens. The king as they say is a ‘blind’ man, except the activities of the market is reported in the palace, the throne will be cut off from the plight of the buyers and the sellers in the markets in his domain. I don’t envy any of our past Presidents neither would I, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Is President Tinubu in doubt of the level of conspiracy that has run this country till this very moment? What those privileged to be close to the President owe him is the truth and nothing but the truth. The bridge of truth is what must be built between the people and their President by those milling around him. Truth, they must serve the President from the dregs of its bitterness. Pacification of the people must replace propaganda.During plenary on Friday 22nd November 2024, the Senate Majority Whip disclosed, https://www.instagram.com/reel/DCpkdGrCGM4/?igsh=b3d3eXl1OTducXBo that Boko-Haram has completely taken firm control of Guzamala Local Government Area of Borno State. In spite of the disclosure at Senate plenary session, the National Security Adviser (NSA), like the proverbial Nero, seems unpaturbed, and without a pacifying whimper to the survivors of reported onslaught. Instead, the NSA is everywhere accusing the men of the Nigerian Police an the military for selling arms and ammunition to non-state acting terror gangsters as well as to inform that no one wins a daring duel with President Tinubu. Who should demand the audit of our security architecture and officers if not the NSA? But he has chosen to complain like everyday Nigerians who are not in a position to lift a finger. His call to the capacity of the President to be brought to bear on this fight, Mr President should take seriously and attends to.How can a group in confrontation with the constitutional soul of the Federal Republic of Nigeria not attract a comment from the NSA but seem to be ignored as s normality? What is it that normalised Boko Haram but prohibits IPOB?After part one of this article, I got calls from well meaning Nigerians who are worried about the conspiracy swirling our country, particularly in the area of security. They all warned me, out of their love and concerns for my safety to stay clear of my demand for accountability of the office of the National Security Adviser. But those who had fallen victims to the conspiracy of insecurity that has snared Nigerians over the years within the system were people who were either afraid to speak or spoke too loudly for comfort. What difference would my silence or noise make, except we get the system up and running, we are all together in danger. Must we in the fear of the office that should serve our protection resign our selves to insecurity? It was conspiracy, the giant of lawlessness beyond the control of our constitution that opened the prison gate in Kano during the military administration of Gen Abacha and handed a man in custody of the state, named Solomon Akaluka to its army of extrajudicial executioners and Kano street urchins often too young to be prosecuted, but strong enough to hold the sword, shout Allahu Akbar in voices broken into puberty to slit the throat of Akaluka; and, as well as old enough to exercise voting franchises but maintains children’s identity when a crime they have committed hunts them.A thousand words from the mouth of any presidential appointee from Borno State or any institution of the governorate therefrom can’t be as assuring and strong enough as one word from the mouth of the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, for whose “capacity and competence”, deprived us the traditional balance of Islam/ Christianity at the Presidency. I dare to say, in the mouth of the former Governor of Borno State under whose Governorship Chibok happened is the consoling words for this season. We must measure the abundance of his heart by the words he brings us to conclude on this administration’s readiness to prioritise the fight against insecurity, or Boko Haram will be a deal left unattended for no big deal. The words of the VP Shettima were heard in loud tones on 27th December 2023 in Bokkos LGA of Plateau State when criminal gangsters killed scores of citizens on 24-26 December Christmas period in 25 villages in a commando style. Those who love the country should interrogate his statement and make a sense of it.The start to finish of Deborah’s process to death was supervised by Conspiracy of her Institution of learning and her state of residence. Whatever made H.E Atiku Abubakar to condemn her death on Twitter (now X) and delete same should be a reminder of how our politicians are nothing but dwarfs in the face of the conspiracy of our constitution to which our consciences are enslaved.Do I need to remind you of the damage done to APC’s image by its Chieftain and Kidnapper in Chief, Waduma. Put his case side by side David Lyon another chieftain of the APC arrested for kidnapping in South South. Could it be that criminals are now imbibing the theory of political looters? By choosing to claim party membership to trade in, so they can get away with criminal conspiracy? The APC and political parties with incumbents in government may as a matter of urgency need membership audit.Maybe one day before his death, President Olusegun Obasanjo will confess the conspiracy that nudged the need for the federal government to take over the hospitals and schools of mainly Christian Missionary Institutions in Nigeria in 1976 under the watch of his military administration or the conspiracy that took away the teaching of history subject out of the curriculum of our public learning institutions but allows private schools of the elites in Nigeria, including Bells, to teach the history of Europe and America. The fear of death is the grip upon the voices of many for which some have chosen to be silent but the louder the question is asked the safer it will be for all of us.A Yoruba adage says, Iku to pa ojugba eni, owe lo npa fun eni (the death of one’s mate is a warning to the age group). If General Azazi’s death is allegedly a conspiracy and it is unresolved including that of Flying Officer Arotile, and now General Lagbaja, then just anybody within the system or outside the system can be the next. Before the next one happens, it is just reasonable for all to ask, why did General Lagbaja die? That we may be able to silence the conspiracy to which the life of a nation of 250 million people are snared. It is time to unmask the “Lagbaja masquerade”, why did General Lagbaja die? Who or what is behind the mask of his death? This unravelling, the Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces owes the soul of his committed Chief of Army Staff. Without which I doubt if his soul will rest in peace. This question is directed to no one in particular, but it is unsafe for every single soul in Nigeria and of Nigerians in the Diaspora to sleep with both eyes closed today, without an answer to why General Lagbaja died.Dr. Bolaji O.
