Al Nassr striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, hit out at Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag over his comments on the team’s targets in the Premier League and Champions League this season.
Ronaldo however stated that United “need to rebuild everything”.
Ten Hag had played down the Red Devils’ chances of winning top trophies soon.
But, speaking on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast, Ronaldo criticised Ten Hag for a lack of ambition.
“As I told you, Manchester, they need to rebuild everything, in my opinion,” Ronaldo said.
On Ten Hag’s mentality, he added: “The coach, they say they cannot compete to win the League and Champions League.
“(As) Manchester United coach, you cannot say that you’re not going to fight to win the League or Champions League. If Ten Hag listens to Ruud, maybe he can (help himself). I think it can help a lot because he knows the club and the club should listen (to) the guys who were there.”
