The son of Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, is reportedly detained in India for allegedly killing an Indian national in a nightclub.
According to PIDOM Nigeria, the Nigerian governor’s son was said to have stabbed the Indian citizen with a broken bottle after an argument over a woman.
Governor Zulum was said to have intervened diplomatically and alleged to have offered substantial compensation to the victim’s family, but efforts to resolve the matter were said to be unsuccessful.
The accused remains detained in India while investigations into the incident continue.
