The gubernatorial election in Kano State is a tough battle between the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP and the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has so far, announced results from 14 local government areas of the state.
According to the results announced on Sunday, APC’s Nasir Gawuna, is currently leading the NNPP’s Abba Kabiru Yusuf with a very slim margin.
The APC candidate has so far polled 237,146 votes while NNPP garnered 235,956 votes from the 14 LGs, leaving a margin of 1,190.
The LGAs are Rano, Rogo, Makoda, Kunchi, Wudil, Karaye, Tsanyawa, Minjibir, Gabasawa, Ajingi, Bagwai, Kabo, Shanini and Albasu.
