Troops of Operation Fansan Yanma have neutralized four armed criminals and captured one suspect during a night operation in Nasarawa village, Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The operation, which took place in the late hours of February 9 and extended into the early hours of February 10, targeted a notorious bandit hideout that had been terrorizing the region.
The details of the raid were contained in a report by security analyst Zagazola Makama on his X handle (formerly Twitter) on Monday.
According to intelligence sources, the raid followed credible intelligence that led the troops to a well-known gathering point of the criminals.
Among those neutralized was a high-profile bandit from Nasarawa village, suspected of long-standing involvement in criminal activities.

“Following actionable intelligence, troops launched a decisive assault, engaging the bandits in a fierce gun battle.
“Four of the criminals were neutralized, while another suspect was successfully captured and taken into custody for further investigation.”
The latest success is part of the Nigerian military’s intensified campaign to eliminate bandit groups operating in the Northwest and restore peace to affected communities.
