Several worshippers were abducted and others injured when armed bandits invaded a mosque during evening prayers in Unguwar Galadunci community, located in Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to a post by security analyst Bakatsine on X on Saturday, the attack occurred during the Isha’i (night) prayer on Friday night.
“Yesterday evening during Isha prayer, bandits stormed a mosque in Unguwar Galadunci, Anka LGA, Zamfara State. Several worshippers were abducted and others injured. A devastating blow as northwest communities face relentless attacks,” Bakatsine wrote.
As of the time of filing this report, authorities were yet to release an official statement on the incident, and the exact number of abducted victims remains unclear.
