Premier League legend, Roy Keane has slammed ‘annoying’ Senegal fans for making a lot of noise ahead of their clash with England.
After all said and done, England thrashed Senegal 3-0 in the round of sixteen of the tournament to progress to the quarter final of the competition and Keane could be wondering what the noise was all about.
Jordan Henderson and Harry Kane fired England in front late into the first half and Bukayo Saka ensured a 3-0 victory for the Three Lions.
Fans of the African champions had created a fabulous atmosphere inside the Al Bayt Stadium ahead of kickoff, with everybody seen enjoying themselves and Keane was not impressed.
“Very annoying. It’s getting on my nerves,” Keane remarked after ITV presenter Mark Pougatch gave his assessment of the fans.
Pougatch got back at him, saying: “It’s very lovely, Roy, it’s a World Cup…”
Keane maintained his earlier stand as he quipped: “Oh, it is, it’s lovely – but it’s annoying.”
