Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has affirmed his decision to take strong action against the national leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in response to their order for lawyers to back out from cases the PDP has taken against some political parties in the State to court over non-compliance with Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) regulations.

At a campaign flag-off rally at the State School Premises, Okehi 1 in Etche Local Government Area on Monday, Wike declared that anti-party behaviour would be met with anti-party.

He requested that citizens collect their Permanent Voters Card and vote for PDP candidates come March 11th election day as he deemed it crucial they win.

The Governor further thanked Etche people for their support and confirmed that his administration had kept all its promises since 2015, such as constructing roads, a campus of Rivers State University and appointing one of them as Vice Chancellor at Ignatius Ajuru University of Education.

The PDP Governorship candidate Sir Siminialayi Fubara followed up by asking for mass voting from them so he could win and never let courts close again should he take power, as well as guaranteed regular pay for workers.

He was confident that he’d become victorious due to his competence and commitment to fulfilling Governor Wike’s new vision for Rivers State.
