Mmesoma Ejikeme has apologised for forging her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, result and begged for leniency from the examination body.
She made the apology on Wednesday when she appeared before the investigative hearing by a House Committee.
Mmesoma said she committed the act due to ignorance and apologized for the pain her actions must have caused.
“I had already admitted that what I did was wrong. Based on that, I hereby present to you all my letter of apology.
“I humbly seek your forgiveness for the mistakes I have made and the pain I have caused.
“I deeply and sincerely agree that I ignorantly got my JAMB result from another portal, which was not JAMB portal,” she stated.
Earlier, the JAMB head, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, informed the Committee that her result has been withdrawn and she is banned from writing JAMB in the next three years.
