The FCT Police Command has issued a statement addressing the recent misreporting surrounding the death of retired Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Shikfu Parradang. Initial media reports claimed he had been kidnapped and killed, which the police have now clarified as false.
On March 3, 2025, Mr. Parradang checked into the Joy House Hotel at approximately noon, arriving in a black Mercedes Benz and paying N22,000 for one night. Following his check-in, a female guest visited him, leaving the hotel around 4:00 PM. After her departure, Mr. Parradang did not leave his room.
Concerns for his well-being prompted a military officer friend to trace him to the hotel early the next morning. At around 4:00 AM on March 4, he was found deceased, seated in a chair in his room. The Durumi Police Station was notified, and officers swiftly arrived to secure the area, take photographs, and collect evidence.
The body of Mr. Parradang has been transferred to the National Hospital for necessary examinations. Hotel staff are cooperating with the ongoing investigation, and police efforts are underway to locate the female guest who visited him.
The FCT Police Command urged the public and media to avoid spreading unverified information that might incite fear or panic. SP Josephine Adeh, the Police Public Relations Officer, emphasized the importance of accurate reporting and assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway to uncover the circumstances surrounding Mr. Parradang’s death.
As the investigation continues, the FCT Police remain committed to ensuring justice is served. For more updates and inquiries, stay tuned to Newspot Nigeria.
