UK-based Nigerian lady passes away 4 months to completion of nursing degree

A UK-based Nigerian Nursing student has reportedly passed away four months before earning her university degree.

The information was first shared on Twitter by a user identified as Habdulakeem Bhadmus.

According to reports, Winifred Chioma George, passed away on May 21, 2023.

She had just four months left to complete her nursing degree at the University of Hertfordshire when she passed suddenly.

According to Badmus, who related the experience, migrating overseas is accompanied by the intense worry of never seeing one’s family again.

He wrote;

“One of my biggest fears about migrating is the possibility of not seeing some friends & family ever again. Sadly, Winifred Chioma George, a Nigerian Nursing Student who was only 16weeks away from completing her nursing degree at the University of Hertfordshire died May 21 2023 💔”

In other news, Joseph Ada, a former housemate on the Big Brother Nigeria reality TV show, now known as BBNaija, has passed away.

Joseph, who participated in the first edition of the BBNaija show in 2006, reportedly died on Wednesday, May 24th, in Delare, US.

He was diagnosed with pancreatitis, which led to his untimely death.

Joseph, a former flight attendant with Virgin Atlantic, had relocated to the United States after the show.

He appeared on the reality show in 2006 with other housemates like popular media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Maureen Osuji, and Gideon Okeke, among others.
