“The death of a child is unnatural” — Nigerian celebrities react to death of Davido and Chioma’s son, Ifeanyi

Many Nigerian celebrities have condoled with popular singer Davido and Chioma on the passing of their son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

It was earlier reported that Ifeanyi, who clocked 3 few days ago, died on Monday, October 31, after drowning in the swimming pool at his father’s home in Banana Island. He was rushed to Evercare Hospital in Lekki where the medics pronounced him dead on arrival.

Reacting to the tragic news, popular comedian, AY Makun, in a post shared on his Instagram page, wrote,

“The death of a child is unnatural, unfair, and tragic, this hit me so bad.”

Davido’s close pal and actress, Eniola Badmus posted a heartbreak emoji on a black background and wrote, “But why”. However, she later took down the post.

Actor, Williams Uchemba, reacting to the sad report, said he prayed earnestly for Ifeanyi’s death to be a lie.

He wrote;

“I said I won’t believe anything on SM until I personally confirm myself. I prayed for it to be a lie.

I am upset, pained and confused.

Nobody deserves to feel this pain.

Please Say a Prayer for David, Chioma and the entire family. Nobody deserves this kind of pain. Rest up Little one.”

Media personality, Daddy Freeze who went live on his Instagram page in the wee hours of Tuesday also commented on his death before going off.

He wrote, “When the person you love is someone involved it becomes a heavy emotional burden. I am not confirming anything but bear with me I will not be live tonight.”

Instagram comedian, Lasisi Elenu, who also reacted to the news, wrote;

“Father heal your children’s heart from this pain, strengthen them in such a dark and hurtful time oh Lord.”
