Theme: Innovation and Technology For Empowering Widows

The annual event recognizing widows globally has once again come to a successful end.

The International Widow’s Day is a special day set aside and fixed for 23rd June every year, to identify with widows worldwide thereby, proffering possible assistance to ameliorate their challenges.

More importantly, on this day, we need to boost their moral by giving them invaluable advice that will touch more on their psychological being because of the trauma they are going or have been through.

Today at the Heritage Multipurpose Hall, Plot 1 Alabi close Opposite Threeco Building Giwa Junction, Off Iju Ishaga Lagos, Tabitha New Life Foundation, as usual, has designed a special program to address the widows and renew their hope. The challenges they go through are discussed by inviting notable and experienced Therapists, Psychologists, Counselors as they offer appropriate advice. It is reassuring that their lives can get better and fill spaces in the society.

Tabitha New Life Foundation is using this opportunity to appreciate various sister bodies, foundations and companies who God has used for one provision or the other helping this vision and spreading smiles on the indigent widows.

To the Speaker, Mrs Regina Chris-Ogbodo, Founder, The Widow’s Might, who has done a great job by pointing out ways womenfolk especially widows can leverage on technology to bring the world to their doorsteps and become a global Entrepreneur is another highpoint of the day’s.

The President of the foundation, in person of Ambassador Adunke Olatunji reiterated her commitment and dedication towards lifting every member of the foundation to her desired height. She stressed further that the individuals, groups and the society at large can bail the less privileged out of the woods by acting the good Samaritans God has bestowed on them.

The physically joyful widows of over 300 in attendance were treated to sumptuous meal as they also carted away various goods of empowerment to their various homes.
