Simon Ekpa, a popular Biafra agitator and Separatist, said the 70 million Igbos are in high hope that President Bola Ahmed Tinibu would release the Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

Ekpa, the Finland-based lawyer and Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile disclosed on Friday through his official Twitter handle that the weeklong sit-at-home has been peaceful.

According to him, Igbos voluntarily observe the sit-at-home due to their Biafra Referendum.

“We thank the people of Biafra! The week-long sit-at-home has been peaceful (Biafran voluntarily observed it due to their desire for a Biafra referendum).

“We are calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take note that over 70m Biafrans are now in high hope that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu would be released”, he wrote.
