SHEHU OF BORNO LAUDS OLOYEDE, AFFIRMS SUPPORT FOR JAMB

The Shehu of Borno, His Royal Highness, Alhaji, Dr. Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Elkanemi, has lauded the Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, over his numerous achievements in JAMB, as well as his doggedness at fighting corruption and other sharp practices towards projecting a positive image of the Board. The Emir gave this commendation on on Tuesday, 22nd August, 2023, when he received a delegation led by the Ag. Director, Maiduguri Zonal Office, Mohammed Suware,  at his Palace in Maiduguri. He described the Registrar as a hater of corruption, adding that he would continue to support him in his quest to move the nation forward.“We are aware of the various achievements of your Registrar, he is an upright man and a prime mover of technology. If we could have more people like him, Nigeria would witness rapid development in all spheres. We would continue to support him,” he said. Earlier, Mr. Suware in his speech, informed the Emir of the various activities rendered by the Board to the people of Borno and its environs. In the Board’s delegation were the State Public Relations Officer, Mr. Umar Bukar Dogo and the State Accountant, Muhammad Kwairanga, among others.MAHMUDA, ALIDZI BOW OUT IN STYLE It was a celebration galore at the Lafia Zonal Office of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on  Thursday, 10th August, 2023, when the duo of the pioneer members of staff of the office, Dr. Mahmud Adamu Mahmuda and Mr. Dio James Alidzi, were given a resounding send-off by the staff. The Ag. Director, Hajia Munirat Lawal, who was represented by the Deputy Director, Zonal Matters, Mr. Adekunle Makinde, commmended the retirees for their immense contributions to the development of the Board. “Your dedication to duty and discipline will not be forgotten in a hurry. I urge you not to view your retirement as the end of life, rather you should view it as the time to do more for your fatherland as Nigeria still needs your expertise, ” she said. Furthermore, the Director also encouraged the staff of the office to emulate the virtues of hard work and discipline of the two senior functionaries of the Board. In his response, Dr. Mahmuda expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the management and staff of the Zonal Office for the honour done to them while thanking them for their support while they were in service. According to him, it was a great honour  serving the Board, noting that it was symbolic for the two of them to retire exactly at the same time as they started their career with the Board almost at the same time. He charged the staff to embrace a culture of  sincerity and dedication to their duties.Until retirement, Dr. Mahmuda was the Director, Nasarawa Zonal Office, Lafia, a position he occupied since 2020. He joined the services of the Board in 1993, served in various capacities and rising through the ranks to attain the peak of his career
