Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri has heaped plaudits on the club’s talismanic forward Victor Osimhen.
Mazzarri replaced Rudi Garcia last week and will take charge of the Serie A champions for the first time against Atalanta on Saturday.
Osimhen is expected to be named among the substitutes after recovering from a hamstring injury picked up on international duty last month.
The new gaffer met the Nigerian striker for the first time last week and is expecting big things from him.
“There will be time to stay together, we’ll play every three days so I’ll have time to chat with everyone,” Mazzarri was quoted by Football Italia.
“Osimhen is a great guy. He’s been cheerful since the very first moment. He is a generous guy who thinks about winning and sacrifices himself. He is getting back in shape and I am happy.”
The 24-year-old has scored six goals in eight league appearances for the Partenopei this season.
