Abuja, Nigeria – October 1, 2025: As Nigeria celebrates her 65th Independence Anniversary, Dr. Olu Agunloye, the National Secretary of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has urged Nigerian leaders to embrace the principles that can guarantee true independence and national transformation.

The SDP leader also called on citizens to remain resilient, united, and committed to the ideals of peace, justice, and development. He noted that the nation’s founding fathers envisioned a Nigeria where freedom is matched with responsibility, and progress is built on inclusivity and fairness.
