According to him, sustained investments in infrastructure, healthcare, education, aviation, tourism and human capital development have distinguished Akwa Ibom among Nigeria’s sub-national governments.

He said the state’s progress demonstrates what can be achieved through prudent resource management, strategic leadership and a collective commitment to development.

The RMAFC official disclosed that the delegation was in Akwa Ibom as part of the South-South verification and data collection exercise aimed at improving and standardising the Commission’s national fiscal and revenue administration processes.

He also appreciated the state government for its continued collaboration and support in helping the Commission achieve its statutory responsibilities.

Responding, Governor Umo Eno welcomed the delegation and assured them of the full support of his administration throughout the exercise.

The governor thanked the Commission for its positive assessment of the state and pledged that his administration would continue to implement development-focused initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and living standards of residents.

Governor Eno also acknowledged what he described as the timely release of improved allocations to states by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the increased resources have enabled state governments to execute projects capable of positively impacting citizens.

The meeting was attended by top government officials, including Deputy Governor Senator Akon Eyakenyi, Secretary to the State Government Prince Enobong Uwah, Head of Civil Service Mrs. Elsie Peters, Executive Assistant and Chief Delivery Adviser Mr. Aniefiok Johnson, commissioners and other senior government functionaries.

Members of the RMAFC delegation included Federal Commissioners Barr. Imo Akpan, Hon. Rakiya Tanko Ayuba-Haruna, Prof. Steve Ugba, Mr. Modu Aji-Juluri, alongside directors and other officials of the Commission.
