The President and Chairman, Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Mallam Mukhtar Sirajo, has emphasised the significance of a responsive governance structure in achieving success in the field of public relations.
Sirajo said this in commemoration of the 2023 World PR Day celebrations.
He restated that the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations remained dedicated to advocating for trust, truth, and transparency through several mechanisms and platforms.
According to him, the public presentation of the citizens’ summit report was scheduled to hold.
He stated that the report contained recommendations that, if implemented, would lead to national rebirth and recovery.
“It focuses on promoting non-violent communication, providing frameworks for citizen re-engagement through behavioural re-orientation, and improving governance structure for better responsiveness,” he said.
He called on the government of the day to take deliberate steps to implement some of the recommendations contained in the Citizens Summit Report.
