In an unprecedented diplomatic gesture, the Qatari Ministry of Defense has gifted a luxury Boeing 747-8 jet to the United States, which will be retrofitted for use as Air Force One. Despite the outcry, the Trump administration has defended the deal. President Donald Trump himself, known for his direct approach, fired back on his social media platform, Truth Social, stating, “So the fact that the Defense Department is getting a GIFT, FREE OF CHARGE, of a 747 aircraft to replace the 40-year-old Air Force One, temporarily, in a very public and transparent transaction, so bothers the Crooked Democrats that they insist we pay, TOP DOLLAR, for the plane. Anybody can do that! The Dems are World Class Losers!!! MAGA.”
Qatar has clarified that the jet is a gift between governments, not a personal gift to Trump. However, the terms of the deal allow Trump to use the jet for his presidential library when he eventually leaves office, a condition that has raised ethical and legal concerns.
