The Service of Songs and night of tributes at Jogor Centre Ibadan Oyo State for Late former Governor of Ondo State Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu aka Aketi was nearly marred when during the recognition of dignitaries the incumbent State Governor’s name Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa was omitted.
It was durong the time for recognition of important guests and the Venerable of All Saints Jericho Funso Jolayemi stepped up reeling out names of dignitaries from the list handed to him by the protocol 0fficers..He was about to exhaust the names on the list when murmuring from guests became loud.
Someone drew his attention to the list that clearly excluded the governors’s name. Venerable Jolayemi was livid by the omission.
He immediately apologized profusely to the governor and requested to have personal picture with him after the programme
He therefore arranged the list accordingly, starting from from the Governor.
In his short message he extolled the lifetime of Aketi that he served the Lord to the end. He described him as a man loved by many as he touched many lives.
He reminded the congregation to remember that we all had a date with death that no one would live up to 200 years. That people should live well and leave behind good legacy.
