The Archbishop Metropolitan and Primate of Church of Nigeria  Anglican Communion Most Revd Henry Ndukuba X raying President  Muhammadu Buhari’s  administration in the last eight years  gave him knocks and kudos.

Addressing delegates to this year Standing Committee Meeting of the Church of Nigeria at Kubwa in Abuja on Wednesday 15 February 2023 credited Buhari for making fuel available than his predecessors.
“This administration must be credited with the availability of petrol in filling stations more than the sabotage suffered by citizens under General Abacha and Dr Goodluck Jonathan. “
He also noted to his credit of how he fought recession and tackled the COVID- 19 pandemic and” managed it better than many power economies of the world “.
However Primate Ndukuba saw Buhari’s tenure as working for the good of the Fulani people ” and stoutly over protected them to the detriment of the other component peoples of this country.”
This he said was seen in “flooding every ministry and parastatal with the same people” which has resulted in ” lopsided appointments that  jettisoned the fundamental principle of Federal character, justice and equity”
Primate Ndukuba described the government as ” oligarchy operating in the democratic context”.
He commended the security and law enforcement agencies for having a united front to battle insecurity but regretted that the masses could no longer sleep with their two eyes closed.
“Our people have lost their homes, livelihood, lives and property. We are constantly under attacks in our nation and in some parts of our dioceses churches have been destroyed, our members are kidnapped. some people are killed violently by sudden attacks by unidentified  gunmen”.
He called on government to start  in ” identifying and checking the activities of terrorism, the porous National borders and free flow of ammunition and  firearms, youth unemployment, drugs and criminality.”
On National Economy he called on the relevant authorities to check the sharp malpractices going on in NNPC more especially the lingering issues of oil subsidies.
On corruption , he scored Buhari’s efforts to battle it  very low.  ” The Buhari Administration fought corruption rhetorically but in practice was still endemic.
He described the mass exodus of our professional and young people as worrisome saying: ” The political, economic and security situation in Nigeria shows that our young people have little to hope for” .
The Primate therefore canvassed for a “totally new Constitution made by a sovereign representation of the ethnic nationalities of this country” .
This he said would  address the fundamental issues necessary for a growing united and prosperous nation .
