Police storm Abuja Lead British School over alleged bullying of student

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Command has deployed officers to the Leads British International School in Abuja over alleged bullying of a 16-year-old student identified as Namtira Bwala, in a viral video.

The FCT Police Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh confirmed this in a terse statement issued and made available to Newspot on Tuesday.

A disturbing video clip that captured a student bullying and slapping her colleague has been generating reactions on social media.

In a bid to forestall possible breakdown of law, the Josephine Adeh said the command deployed seasoned officers to the school premises.

The statement reads, “In a proactive response to alarms raised by some members of the public regarding videos circulating on social media depicting the bullying of students at the above mentioned school, the FCT Police Command is on top of the situation and has deployed seasoned officers to the school premises for investigations and to forestall any possible breakdown of law and order.”
