The candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola Federal Constituency, Najeemdeen Oyeshina Oyedeji, has won the election.
The election was conducted in the four local government areas that make up the constituency on Saturday.
The result of the election was announced on Monday.
The returning officer, Professor Adeolu Adeleke, said Oyedeji having scored the required is certified winner and declared returned.
He said that Oyedeji scored a total of 30,372 votes to defeat all other candidates.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Soliu Abu Gbadamosi, scored 28,821 votes.
Other candidates such as candidate of Accord, Samson Ogunbode scored 17,532 votes.
Labour Party candidate, Ogunlade Adeyemi got 1,160 votes.
