— Hail Presidential Projects Across Osun East and Central

In a significant political development, two serving senators of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Osun State—Senator Adenigba Fadahunsi (Osun East) and Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi (Osun Central)—have openly reaffirmed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pledging to stand firmly behind his 2027 reelection bid.

The senators made the declaration on Thursday while addressing journalists in Osogbo, the Osun State capital. Their renewed endorsement of President Tinubu comes in appreciation of what they described as the President’s “unmatched leadership” and “strategic interventions” across their constituencies.

Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi, who also chairs the Senate Committee on Environment, praised the President’s developmental focus on Osun Central, saying Tinubu’s contributions have left a lasting impact on his people.

“The President’s keen interest in Osun Central Senatorial District has not gone unnoticed, and the people of the zone remain deeply appreciative. Our renewed endorsement of Tinubu is a reciprocal gesture in recognition of the President’s strategic contributions to infrastructure and institutional development in Osun,” Fadeyi stated.

Highlighting specific projects, Senator Fadeyi commended Tinubu for facilitating the establishment of the Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies in Iragbiji, the installation of a 300MVA Power Transformer by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) at the Osogbo substation, and the ongoing construction of a 2x60MVA substation in Ila-Orangun. He further noted the President’s promise to upgrade the Nigeria Police Training School in Ila-Orangun into a full-fledged Police Academy to serve the entire South-West region.

“Mr President has done so much for my constituency such that I cannot but support him,” he declared. “What else can we ask for?”

Senator Adenigba Fadahunsi, who chairs the Senate Committee on Industries, similarly praised President Tinubu’s attention to the infrastructural needs of Osun East. He lauded the President’s approval of funds for the reconstruction of the Ibadan–Ilesa Expressway under the 2025 appropriation bill, describing it as a “game changer” for economic connectivity and mobility in Osun.

Fadahunsi went further to list several proposed federal healthcare institutions for Osun East, including a Federal School of Nursing in Ijebu-Jesa, a Federal Orthopaedic Hospital in Obokun, and a Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital in Ile-Ife—all of which, he said, have received the President’s backing.

“The President has shown genuine concern for the development of our senatorial zone, and we are optimistic that the delivery of these projects will significantly enhance healthcare access and economic activities in Osun East,” he said.

Both senators reiterated that their support for President Tinubu transcends party lines and is rooted in a commitment to serve their constituents’ best interests. Senator Fadeyi assured that the people of Osun Central would vote overwhelmingly for Tinubu in 2027, citing the President’s track record and vision.

This cross-party endorsement marks a noteworthy moment in Osun politics and may reshape electoral alignments as the 2027 general elections approach.
