Namadi stated this while reacting to J-Teach protesters against scheduled aptitude tests to make them permanent.

Newspot reported that the Jigawa State House of Assembly approved the absorption of 3000 J-Teach staff out of the 4,500 recruited.

The Jigawa State government introduced the J-Teach program (temporary teachers) to bridge the existing teacher gap in the state.

“This is to ensure justice for all; instead of making a random selection, we organized this aptitude test for selecting the best 3,000 out of the 4,500 and those who did not scale through will continue to work as J-Teach before the next round of recruitment.

“This aptitude test is necessary to ensure that only qualified candidates are recruited.

“We also have other plans for those who didn’t pass the test, including vocational training and empowerment.”

He assured that no single candidate would be recruited outside the 4500 J-Teach staff.

Governor Namadi noted that the new date for the aptitude test would be announced.
