NNPC/SEPLAT Scholarship: Education as a Bridge Between Social Classes

The Honourable Commissioner for Education, Professor Ubong Essien Umoh, has applauded the organizers of the NNPC/SEPLAT Energy Joint Venture Secondary School Scholarship Programme for their sustained commitment to advancing educational development in Nigeria.

Speaking at the 2025/2026 edition of the educational empowerment initiative, where 200 indigent but brilliant pupils who had completed their primary education were awarded scholarships for their post-primary studies on a yearly renewable basis, Prof. Umoh described education as

“a golden ticket to a better life.”

While presenting symbolic awards to the beneficiaries, he urged them to maximize the opportunity by remaining diligent and disciplined in their studies.

he emphasized.

EDUCATION: A BRIDGE BETWEEN SOCIAL CLASSES

The Honourable Commissioner for Education, Professor Ubong Essien Umoh, has commended the organizers of the NNPC/SEPLAT Energy Joint Venture Secondary School Scholarship Programme for their sustained commitment to educational development over the years.

Speaking at the 2025/2026 edition of the educational empowerment initiative, where 200 indigent but brilliant pupils who have completed their primary school studies were awarded scholarships for their post-primary education on a yearly renewable basis.

Prof. Umoh urged the beneficiaries to make the most of the golden opportunity by dedicating themselves to their studies.
