Wikki Tourists head coach, Abdullahi Maikaba is optimistic that his team will secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) next season.
Maikaba said with the quality of players in his team they will achieve their target.
Wikki Tourists defeated Zamfara United 4-1 in their final group game of the regular season in Bauchi on Sunday.
The Bauchi Elephants qualified for the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight playoff tournament after finishing top of their group.
“When I arrived, the goal was clear,qualify for the Super Eight and bring Wikki Tourists back to the Premier League,” Maikaba told Wikki Tourists media.
“We are on the right path. With the caliber of players in our squad and continued support, I believe we will achieve promotion.”
Wikki Tourists, Barau FC, Yobe Desert Stars and Doma United are the four teams that have qualified for the playoff tournament.
The remaining four teams will be decided in the Southern Conference A and B.
